How do environmental factors affect the high temperature resistance of Metal Kitchen Pull-Out Hose?

Metal Kitchen Pull-Out Hose is widely used in modern kitchens, especially when handling hot water, where its high temperature resistance is key to safety and performance. However, the impact of environmental factors on its high temperature resistance is often ignored. Here’s a look at how environmental factors affect the high-temperature resistance of metal kitchen pull-out hoses, and some maintenance recommendations to extend their lifespan.

1. Humidity
Environmental humidity has a significant impact on metal materials. A high-humidity environment may cause oxidation and corrosion on the metal surface, reducing its strength and high temperature resistance. Although stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance, localized corrosion may still occur under conditions of sustained high humidity. This corrosion will accelerate the aging of metal materials at high temperatures and reduce the service life of the hose. When used in a humid environment, the hose should be checked regularly to keep it dry and clean.

2. Temperature changes
Drastic changes in temperature will have a certain impact on the metal kitchen pull-out hose. In high-temperature environments, the thermal expansion of metal materials will cause changes in their structures. If used under conditions of alternating high and low temperatures, metal hoses may suffer fatigue damage, affecting their high temperature resistance. In addition, excessively high ambient temperatures may cause the molecular structure of the hose material to relax, reducing its heat resistance. Therefore, when choosing an installation location, try to avoid exposing the hose to extreme temperatures.

3. Ultraviolet radiation
Prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause oxidation on the surface of metal materials. Although the main material of the metal kitchen pull-out hose (such as stainless steel) has strong weather resistance, long-term ultraviolet radiation may still cause the performance of the material surface to decrease. Ultraviolet rays will cause the metal surface to lose its luster and may also accelerate the aging of the material, thus affecting its high temperature resistance. Reasonable selection of the installation location to avoid direct exposure to sunlight can effectively extend the service life of the hose.

4. Exposure to chemicals
Various chemicals such as detergents, grease, and acids and alkalis are often present in the kitchen environment. These chemicals can cause corrosion and reduce heat resistance if they come in contact with metal kitchen pull-out hoses. In particular, strong acids or alkaline substances can quickly corrode metal materials, causing hose failure. Therefore, when cleaning the kitchen, you should avoid spraying chemical cleaners directly on the hose to keep its surface clean and reduce the risk of corrosion.

5. Installation location
The installation position of the hose also affects its high temperature resistance. If the hose is installed close to a heat source, it may cause the temperature to rise, which will have a negative impact on its high temperature resistance. When designing the kitchen layout, the direction and location of the hose should be considered to avoid placing it in a high-temperature or high-pressure environment to ensure its normal use.

6. Regular maintenance
In order to improve the high temperature resistance of metal kitchen pull-out hoses, regular maintenance is particularly important. Cleaning the hose surface to remove dirt and scale can prevent corrosion from occurring. In addition, regularly check the connections to ensure they are properly sealed to prevent hot water leakage and temperature loss.
